Remote Sensing & Spatial Analysis

Satellite image processing and spatial analysis for land cover classification, change detection, land suitability and disaster risk studies.

Remote Sensing & Spatial Analysis

Satellite imagery offers a perspective field survey alone cannot: a record of regional conditions through time. We use it to answer planning questions that are regional in nature, such as how quickly built-up areas are expanding or which part of a watershed is most vulnerable.

All classification results are validated against independent sample points and accompanied by a confusion matrix, so confidence in the resulting map can be judged objectively.

Scope of Work

  • Multitemporal land cover and land use classification
  • Change detection and land conversion monitoring
  • Land suitability and carrying capacity analysis
  • Flood, landslide and drought hazard modelling
